If you can't open Outlook, or Outlook disappears or crashes, one of your add-ins may be to blame or you may need to update Outlook. If you are having problems with Outlook, there are a few things we can help with to get you back to sending and receiving your email. Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions for send/receive error 0x800CCC0E fix the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions. Another options is to use the Filter Email button on the ribbon. You may notice that All, Unread , Mentioned and other sort and filtering options, such as By date, and Newest are missing in Outlook above your email list.

• Maybe you've added a new program to your computer that doesn't get along with Outlook, or your system has a virus.
• You can disable all Outlook integration within the antivirus software.
• This can be exploited by creating a file together with an OLE object in such a way to cause MAPI to load a DLL from a network share when the OLE object is activated.
• See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions.
• MAPI does not validate that a provider's DLL that it is requested to load is registered correctly in MapiSVC.inf or even that it comes from the local machine.
• You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.
• Outlook 2016 freezes when you try to preview an Excel file that's attached to an email.
• If you've already clicked the Accept button in Outlook 2016, you won't be able to re-accept the invitation from another Outlook application.
• Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background.

Outlook known issues in the May 2019 updates

Or, you can disable any antivirus software add-ins that are installed in Outlook. If you have email messages in an email program, you must import your email messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile. If everything is working correctly, you can now delete the old profile. In System Configuration, if you select a check box, the related service or startup program runs when you restart the computer.

Outlook Known issues in July 2022 updates

You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to complete these steps. You can automatically repair your Office program files to resolve such problems as Outlook freezing or not responding. Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending repair PST file without data loss and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running.

Outlook known issues in the December 2018 updates

If the check box is cleared, the service or startup program doesn't run when you restart the computer. You might need to set Windows Update to automatically download and install recommended updates. Installing any important, recommended, and optional updates can often correct problems by replacing out-of-date files and fixing vulnerabilities.

Outlook Known issues in September 2020 updates

Outlook 2016 freezes when you try to preview an Excel file that's attached to an email. After updating Office, you may experience a brief flashing window every hour, which triggers the OfficeBackgroundHandlerRegistration task to start running. To create a user profile, you must first create a user account. To determine whether this problem is caused by a corrupted user profile, create a user profile to see whether the problem still occurs when you use the new profile. To keep up with new viruses as they're created, antivirus software vendors periodically provide updates that you can download from the Internet. Download the latest updates by visiting your antivirus software vendor's website.

Outlook Known issues in March 2022 updates

Outlook stores certain data, such as email signatures and the spelling checker dictionary, in the AppData folder. If the network is performing slowly, Outlook must wait for read and write operations to the AppData directory to finish. To manage your mailbox by reducing the size of the Outlook data file, see Reduce the size of Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost). Although add-ins can enhance your user experience, they can reset cached Exchange mode occasionally interfere or conflict with Outlook.
