When I switch from company's Teams to client's, I am asked to log in. The log in prompt shows a code and to authenticate it in Microsoft Authenticator. There is no prompt/ notification in my Microsoft Authenticator to put the number.

If you don't recognize the phone number or email address offered when trying to get a verification code, check these things. Disconnected and reconnected (no MFA second time round) so will wait an hour and see if this prompts for MFA again. I have rebuild Outlook data file quickly 'single sign out' enabled on my saml auth profile.
