In an investors call (via VentureBeat ), EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that the new Battlefield will be revealed this spring and began to tease the potential for the title. It's unclear whether or not the game will come to Xbox One and PS4 but it is confirmed to release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. According to Jorgensen, Battlefield 6 will " mark a return to all-out military warfare ." He continued by talking about the scale of the new shooter. " The game takes full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive, immersive battles to life with more players than ever before. Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level. The team is focused and the game is ahead of our internal milestones. We’ll reveal the game in the spring, and deliver a defining Battlefield experience for our players in the 2021 holiday season ," said Jorgen
With the next generation of gaming officially underway with the recent launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, its only a matter of time before the usual heavy hitters enter the fray such as the Battlefield franchise. Battlefield 6 has been confirmed by EA to be in active development, already creating a surge of hype among fans for when they can get a first look and possibly even a release date for this latest installm
If Battlefield 6 ’s rumored title is truly suggesting a fresh start, fans can expect Modern Warfare ’s style of a soft reboot to be copied as well. This will likely be seen in Battlefield ’s next campaign , as characters like Dima, Recker, and Blackburn will likely be left in the past. The "war of 2020" plotline from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 will likely be abandoned completely, with the warships, nukes, and planned war with China likely to be dropped in favor of a World War 3 narrative. Aside from a new story, however, Battlefield’s soft reboot could usher in a new style of gameplay for the ser
This is all assuming that EA sticks to its traditional promotional plans and doesn't want to catch gamers off guard with the next game. EA and developer DICE reportedly have very ambitious ideas for Battlefield 6 and could want to ensure the game gets all the attention it deserves. This could result in Battlefield 6 completely bypassing its traditional fall release window, to not risk added competition from other heavy hitter franchises that usually launch during the same timefr
Looking at past titles and rumors that Battlefield 6 will be available in 2021 , its fair to assume that the first official look will be sometime in the coming months or at least by the E3 summer season (and if E3 is a thing). Not only are fans of the series clamoring for more information but gamers in general are hyped for more showcases of what this next generation of gaming is capable of, and with Battlefield always being an industry setting standard for grand scale and visual presentation, EA can capitalize on that double layer of hype even with a few months leading up to release. At the same time, this would also mean that if fans don't see it soon or by the mid-year at the latest, it's not likely to launch this year at
Content was added that pulled from all periods of Star Wars , allowing players to fill the role of General Grievous or Rey Skywalker. Several special cosmetics were added that gave players a reason to grind and keep playing, while new map additions changed things up as time went on. A free expansion for the campaign provided real closure for its characters, while an emphasis on fun saw absurd game modes like Ewok Hunt bringing Star Wars fans back to the game. Though it lacks Battlefield ’s destruction and a proper stat-tracking system like Battlelog , Star Wars Battlefront 2 is truly deserving of a second cha

While 2016’s Mirror’s Edge Catalyst proved to be a disappointing and forgettable follow-up, the 2008 original was anything but. Offering incredibly fun platforming that discourages fighting and prioritizes smooth, speedy movement, players can get around each area at wildly fast speeds. Ziplines, wallrunning, pipe-climbing, and other features help to this process even more entertaining, ensuring that Mirror’s Edge players have a good time until they roll credits. With graphics that still hold up incredibly well despite the game being over a decade old, Mirror’s Edge is a perfect fit for anyone that is looking to play something a bit differ
