Developer Digital Extremes isn’t slowing down. They plan to add more space combat later this year with the Railjack expansion, remaster Jupiter’s Gas City map, as well as adding ever more Warframes and weapons for players to gobble up and mas
Titania is a pixie-inspired Warframe that can fly at the speed of sound. Her ultimate ability, Razorwing, turns Titania into a small butterfly that's armed to the teeth with a set of powerful pistols. Throw on some speed mods or the Razorwing Blitz augment, and Titania can break the sound barrier with ease. Anything that poses an immediate threat can be turned into a red mist with the Dex Pixia's blistering fire r
Last year, Warframe came to the Nintendo Switch in a move that was so technically amazing that we’re still not quite sure how it was done. Warframe is not a light game by any means--some of the latest open-world updates can tax a mid-range PC--but it runs so smoothly on the portable system that it boggles the m
One of the best and most popular free-to-play games on the market is coming to one of the most popular platforms. Yes, Warframe is about to make its way with an official release on the Nintendo Switch and we can all finally take Warframe on the
In an interview belonging to the Noclip documentary series by Daniel O'Dwyer, Digital Extremes Studio Manager Sheldon Carter detailed an unexpected result that occurred when the developer introduced a small microtransaction for Kubrows, an in-game virtual pet. The studio had implemented what Carter defines as a "slot machine lever" that allowed gamers - for the price of about $0.67 - to randomize the fur pattern and fur color of their pet Kubrow. While it was only a cosmetic feature, the idea of putting something so random behind a paygate drew the ire of many of the game's fans. Still, Digital Extremes went forward with the idea - until one fan spent well over $100 on it almost immediat
Announced moments ago at TennoCon , the third annual Warframe relics|https://warframebase.com/ convention hosted by Canadian developer and publisher Digital Extremes, Warframe is in development for the Switch thanks to a partnership between Digital Extremes and Panic Button. Panic Button helped work on DOOM, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus , and Rocket League , and are masters at porting triple-A games to Nintendo's hybrid portable cons
We cover a lot of games here on TheGamer , but one game that doesn’t get nearly as much coverage as it deserves is Warframe . For years now, Warframe has quietly been gaining momentum, gathering up players, and slowly but surely branching out into every console under the
In Warframe, the faster you can clear missions, the more rewards you can earn during your play session. It's important to be fast for missions like Capture and Exterminate, and no Warframe does that better than Titania. Subsume Gauss' Thermal Sunder on her kit, and you can turn an entire map into a nuclear wasteland in a few seconds. She also scales well in Steel Path content with the right build, making TItania an easy S-tier p
June has been one heck of a month for Warframe. Not only did we receive the long awaited Umbra Excalibur, which was nicely wrapped around compelling story missions, but we also picked up a brand new Prime update that should have a number of players happy. Limbo as a Warframe came out just under four years ago (44 months to be exact), and he wasn’t the most popular because his abilities could be detrimental to a team if not done properly. Fortunately, he had gotten better last year, and it only seems fit that he should be the next on the list to receive a Prime. Based on the scheduling, it could have easily been Chroma or Mesa, or someone a little further down the pipeline, but considering those two are already overly appealing, it might be better to give Limbo some love. We’ve taken a look at how this update holds up, and what stands out above all else.
It’s all about managing your Rift and which dimension you’re in. You’re even able to shift in and out of dimensions by rolling (or in Limbo’s case, it’s more of a dash), which leaves behind a portal for teammates to use. He’s a very unique character to play as, and works surprisingly well for both solo and cooperatively play. While playing solo, you can enter a safe zone where all damage is void, which helps in sticky situations. Cooperatively you can freeze enemies in place and even allow your friends to enter the rift – great for activities such as defense or excavation. He’s incredibly fun to play as if you get him down, one that does require some work, but you’ll be rewarded in doing so. Outside of how he plays, Limbo Prime comes with a higher shield capacity, which if you’re skilled enough, you probably won’t even need all that much, along with an increase of armor, and your energy pool. It also comes with an extra two polarities, ensuring you won’t need to Forma him too many times.
Enemies are further weakened through Xaku's third ability, The Lost. Enemies can have their defenses stripped or turned into allies for Xaku. You can even extend the duration of these effects through Xaku's ultimate, a massive explosion that doubles as a powerful tool for finding Ayatan Sculptures and Syndicate Medallions. Subsume a defensive ability onto them , and Xaku easily becomes a powerhouse in all cont
