After almost a month of this, players are calling for change. Many are complaining that Zarya is the most overpowered Hero in the game, and the most in need of a nerf. And unlike with other heroes, it actually seems to be the Zarya mains themselves leading the charge, as they're sick and tired of playing the same Hero every ma
In Capture the Flag, you have one of the most intense game modes, especially if you're the one with the flag. Fast characters make a lot of difference here, though nothing stops you from getting a Roadhog or Reinhardt and destroying everything in your path until you reach the f
What I love most of all, though, is Junkrat’s ultimate ability: the RIP-Tire. At first, I thought this ability turned him into the explosive tire that goes screeching at the opposing team before blowing them into teeny tiny pieces. A friend very kindly pointed out that Junkrat is still very much on the map, so it’s important I make sure he’s safe before I trigger it. You can’t just run in the open and whip it out - positioning is key. Driving it up a wall and sending it crashing down on unexpecting foes pushing the objective, wiping them all out was my crowning achievement during my first day playing, and hearing my teammates shout "that was huge!" is a memory of the game that will stick with me for a long t
Whether I bother in competitive with support is up in the air right now. It’s still a headache dealing with angry and ungrateful teammates who splinter across the map and somehow expect to get healed all at once, but at least now I’m enjoying the role again. The rush of scrambling to a critical marker to fill up their health bar while fighting back enemies is exhilarating in a way you just don’t feel with DPS, and the key role you play in ensuring your team’s survival is a wholly unique responsibility. I doubt I’ll ever be a Mercy main again or voluntarily choose healer with my friends when Roadhog and Orisa are right there for the taking, but at least I know that if I gotta pick healer, I have someone I’ll actually enjoy play
This is, of course, just a theory on how things have gotten so bad. It's possible that the abuse will die down as Blizzard either puts stricter measures in place, or the attention dies down after the launch hype. In any case, it's definitely tainting the game for many, and changing how it's played all toget
I was ready to call it quits and decide that I’d been right, Overwatch simply wasn’t for me, when I misclicked while swapping heroes and ended up as Junkrat. His opening battle cry, "I’ll keep trying till I run out of limbs!" tickled me immediately. "Plenty of bombs to go around!" is a great one, too. I spent two hours playing as him and had a blast, pun inten
Imagine Rocket League, but the cars are Lúcios, and you get the idea. You have to boop your way through the stadium and push the ball with your gun (or fist), and score a goal against the enemy team with the gigantic ball. It's a nice change of pace, being rather different compared to most game mo
I tried her out because she was new and the daily quests keep asking me to queue for all roles which, as we know, really means support. She can shred through squishy DPS characters and heals plenty, at least enough to scratch my Mercy itch. Being able to reach upward of 9,000 healing in quick play while getting eliminations is like playing DPS with a bit more utility, and that’s what makes Kiriko so refresh
Beyond just shooting, Junkrat’s abilities provide some handy and chaotic utility. His concussion mines can be used to blast opponents away when losing a 1v1, accelerate him to the objective quickly, or simply launch him to high ground. They’re surprisingly versatile, molding to whatever playstyle you gravitate towards. I like to pop them on bridges and in choke points, blasting enemy heroes off the map or sending them back and giving my teammates time to please come help me, I’m sca
As a result, players are switching off voice and text chat en masse and encouraging others to do the same. In social media posts, Overwatch 2 Support guide|https://overwatch2tactics.com/ fans say that not disabling chat can damage your mental health, as toxic players have been spotted getting around Blizzard's chat filters to use slurs and make threats against oth
Based on the Lunar New Year events that happen in several Asian countries, you have spectacular skins to make your characters look even better, and you also have Capture the Flag, a classic mode in many games. Lunar New Year happens around January or Febru
This is far from the first time this sentiment has been shared. Threads from the game's launch also show players turning off chat to protect their mental wellbeing. One of these users is Capybrian, who describes disabling chat as "the best thing I've ever done". The replies agree, stating that using the in-game pings is a great way to communicate without being abused in c
