Adding 3D objects to your WPS slides can significantly enhance the visual appeal and interactivity of your presentations, especially when illustrating intricate systems, gadgets, or architectural plans. WPS Presentation offers built-in 3D object support, enabling users to rotate, zoom, and animate these objects directly within their slides.
To begin, ensure that your version of WPS Office is up to date, as this feature is absent in outdated versions. Open the desired presentation and go to the slide for the 3D asset. Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon at the top of the window. Look for the 3D Models option, which is typically located in the Illustrations group. Tap the button to display the available insertion methods: Cloud-sourced 3D assets and Your Computer.
For access to a library of public 3D models, pick Online 3D Models. You’ll see a search bar where you can input keywords like automobile, building, or body system. Browse through the results, preview the model, and click Insert to add it to your slide.
Alternatively, if you have a 3D model file saved on your computer, such as in STL format, select Local File. A dialog box appears so you can navigate to your model.
Once added, the 3D object displays control handles on all sides. Adjust its scale using the corner grips or move it freely across the slide.
To manipulate how the model is viewed, click on it to activate the 3D Model tab in the ribbon. You’ll gain access to 3D rotation tools for X, Y, and Z axes. Adjust the light source direction and intensity. Tweak surface textures and finishes. Add motion effects like rotation, drift, or oscillation.
Configure it to animate upon slide transition. Or trigger its animation with a click.
For best visual results, consider adjusting the slide background to a solid color or subtle gradient. That avoids visual clutter around the model.
Moreover, keep the 3D file size and geometry reasonable, as it could cause lag on older hardware.

Make sure to run a full rehearsal on your presentation machine to guarantee seamless interaction during the live show.
With practice, incorporating 3D models into your WPS Presentation slides becomes a seamless way to communicate ideas with greater depth and engagement.
