It's been a tough few days for Robin Thicke.
The Blurred Lines star flew out of New York on Thursday after a series of TV and radio interviews where he rehashed the reasons for the failure of his 20-year relationship with Paula Patton as he promoted his new album, Paula, which he hopes will help win her back.
The 37-year-old smiled as he walked to a limo waiting to take him to JFK after checking out of his Tribeca hotel.

He was casually dressed for the five-hour flight in a pale grey shirt left untucked from his well-worn, stone-washed, black baggy jeans and grey sneakers.
Robin's hair was neatly clipped and he sported a healthy crop of designer stubble and a pair of aviator-style sunglasses.
The singer was on Good Morning America on Wednesday to perform and promote the album, and also opened up about splitting from the 'love of my life'.

'If you've got a good woman take care of her man,' the heartbroken celebrity said when asked if he had any relationship advice for his fans.
As for the album named after the 38-year-old actress, JetBlack he said: 'I hope she likes it. These songs poured out of me in the course of two weeks, the whole album really. We were childhood sweethearts and she's the best person I've ever met. The least I could do was dedicate an album to her.'
But Robin admitted he is 'flying by the seat of his pants', adding: 'I actually have no idea what I'm doing... I just want to make something artistic out of a difficult period.'

The previous day he admitted he hadn't seen his estranged wife for four months in an interview on the Ebro In The Morning show on the Hot 97 radio station.
And he said that Paula hadn't event heard the album. 'She's only heard a few songs. I don't think she wants to hear it right now. I can't speak for her, but I think space is an important part of any healing process.
‘She's the best girl in the world, a great mother, and still a good friend. I want to wish her well and let her know that she's a great person and she deserves to have a good life. She was my rock… Everything we have right now, we built together.'

Robin and Paula, who have a four-year-old son Julian, split in February after some 20 years together including nine years of marriage.
Meanwhile, Brody Jenner weighed in on Robin's very public attempt to win back his wife, on his new podcast, The Brody Jenner Podcast With Dr. Mike Dow, calling it 'creepy' rather than romantic.
Brody said: 'I want to know how she feels about it … because if I were in her shoes, I don't know if I'd want my dirty laundry aired to the public like that.'
