Patch 30 brings an enormous change to the game with the addition of ledge grabbing. According to the official patch notes on the PUBG website, players will be able to grab onto the edge of most obstacles that are up to 2.5 meters high. The change will allow smoother movement as players will be able to leap from obstacle to obstacle without ever touching the ground. It will even allow players to climb onto roofs, opening up areas that were previously inaccessible. This is the first of two planned updates dealing with the ledge grab. The current update doesn’t allow players to grab onto or slide down railings, which the developers say will be added in the second update. The developers also note that they’re looking for feedback from players to improve the new feat
The game is certainly deserving, having left the gaming universe in awe following its release. Unfortunately, Fortnite took over and even that is now being overshadowed by Respawn and EA's launching of Apex Legends , a BR based on the Titanfall series that amazingly garnered 10 million users in its first three da
Even with these potential networking problems, fans continue to flock to the free to play shooter thanks in large part to its engaging gameplay, fun mechanics, and fresh take on the saturated genre. More content could be right around the corner as dataminers have found new details for upcoming characters like Octane as well as a Battle Pass for players to unlock even more content on a seasonal ba
The battle royale title, which actually gave the genre its jump start that lead to massive cultural phenomena like Fortnite and Apex Legends come to the fore, was voted in as 2018's best Steam game by fans, who were prompted to name their favorites across eight awa
Abortive court cases and such aside, there’s been little that PUBG Corp has been able to do to hit back. The game has been a phenomenon in its own right, of course ( Fortnite ’s battle royale began as nothing more than a side-mode, after all), but the statistics with regards to the player base make for quite grim read
The issues started with Pubg Walkthrough|Https://Pubgfrontierzone.Com/ 's launch, with Greene describing how the game's server tech was built for a million concurrent users, only to have 3.2 million. "We had to do so much to catch up," Greene described, noting that, "We were a team of 30, 35 people." PUBG's developers were overwhelmed and doing their best. But despite the game's Early Access status, some players were demanding impossible changes and improvements and blamed the development team for not meeting their expectati
Patch 30 adds a good amount of additional updates, most notably the Deagle (a version of the powerful Desert Eagle handgun found in many games) and a set of pre-written text messages called Radio Messages. Players can select these from a radial menu to quickly communicate with teammates when they can’t use voice c
Greene isn't speaking just about himself either; he wants to instill this same philosophy into his new studio, the PUBG Special Projects team. He aims to get his team to a place where they work "four days a week and have a day to do whatever they want." Happiness is his priority for his development team, but even he acknowledges that they're all going to have to work hard to get to that po
Players will have a couple of new ways to get around in **PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ** after Patch 30, which introduces parkour and a new vehicle, the BRDM-2, to the game. As with most patches, it also comes with a suite of bug fixes and other twe
In terms of networking features, Apex Legends also came back pretty barebones. As of right now, the game doesn't have Network Warning Icons, it does not favor the shooter limitation for players with more than 200ms ping, and it's missing many standard networking settings like an FPS limiter and a Network Graph or Overlay. Packet Splitting is also set as server to client and sends 5 packets per update, the highest of all the games listed in this test. The more times the packet is split, the higher the chance that the player sees lag or odd behavior. Now, it's worth pointing out that each of the other games in this test also suffered from their own issues, but Apex Legends had negative results in nearly every category tes
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the vanguards of the Battle Royale genre when it launched in 2017. It instantly became one of the world’s most popular online games, in constant competition with Fortnite . Recently, though, the genre has exploded in popularity , with new games coming out at a rapid pace and existing games adding Battle Royale modes to get in on the trend. Most of these games add features that expand on the genre, increasing the pressure on PUBG to keep adding new twists its
The Fix PUBG campaign, which ended in November, was a step in the right direction as the developers sought to address the most concerning problems and performance issues in the game. But it looks like it could be a very difficult 2
