That’s just a stage, though. I mean, it would be weird to have Avatar stages and no Avatar characters, but it’s not necessarily impossible. Fortunately, the actual cover art for All-Star Brawl features at least two silhouettes that are unmistakably supposed to represent Avatar characters. I’ve circled Korra and Aang below, who can be distinguished by their braid and ear, respectively.

Korra’s braids are usually pretty thin, but if you watch an action sequence from the show you’ll see that her hair thickens in combat. Meanwhile, Aang’s bald head and distinctive ears separate his silhouette from those of pretty much every other Nickelodeon character ever created. As protagonists of some of Nick’s biggest shows, they’re natural shoo-ins for a game - especially a fighting game. Still, it’s refreshing to see some confirmation that we’ve got at least one Avatar stage and two Avatar characters. If they weren’t in All-Star Brawl, there’s no way in hell I’d have considered playing it. Now, though… Well, I might start playing Smash again so I can become an esports pro as a Korra main.

Zim 's stage looks redirect to Brawlstarsfans take place in space, while Danny Phantom 's stage takes place in some kind of alternate dimension. The titular house from The Loud House looks to feature as its own stage while kitchen level looks like it's probably from The Ren & Stimpy Show _ . The longstanding popularity of the Super Smash Bros. series has produced numerous copycat games which sought to emulate Nintendo's success. Some have certainly been more successful than others, but there's now a new contender that has the potential to provide a truly unique fighting game experience. While there are a few references to both the Kevin Smith filmography and past beat 'em ups, Mall Brawl doesn't fill every square inch of each stage with nostalgic callbacks. This is for the best, as the times when it does something special stand out that much more. A shopping cart ride reminiscent of the Battletoads Turbo Tunnel and several specific bosses keep things interesting without overstaying their welcome, and the game's ending is perfect considering the source mater

The first stage shown off for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl seems to be related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . Though it could also just be a basic stage that's not related to any property. Each character is shown popping up on a rooftop location. In several shots, the characters are also battling across the stage, which means it will likely be playable. Next, is at least one stage based on Spongebob Squarepants . Early in the trailer, a few characters are fighting on a pirate ship. Later, the characters are fighting through the Jelly Fish Fields. It's tough to say, but this could be a single stage where the ship pops up in the middle of a battle. Either way, they're definitely straight from the Spongebob cart

Anyone picking up Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl _ will know what they're getting into from the jump. The 8-bit action will have a hard time attracting newcomers to this style of game, but it does successfully capture both the spirit of classics like _Double Dragon and the vibe of Kevin Smith's modern output.
